At HellxCase, we strive to provide high-quality information storage and exchange services to our customers. We understand that sometimes circumstances may require you to request a refund. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted, the refund process, and other important information regarding refunds.

Refund Policy Overview

HellxCase offers refunds under certain conditions, depending on the service purchased, the time elapsed since purchase, and the nature of the issue. We aim to handle all refund requests fairly and efficiently while maintaining the quality and integrity of our services.

Subscription Plans

For our subscription-based services, the following refund conditions apply:

  • Monthly Subscriptions: Eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the service has not been substantially used.
  • Annual Subscriptions: Eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if the service has not been substantially used.
  • Lifetime Plans: Eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if the service has not been substantially used.

One-Time Purchases

For one-time purchases of premium features or add-ons, the following refund conditions apply:

  • Eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the feature or add-on has not been substantially used.

Enterprise and Custom Solutions

For enterprise and custom solutions, refund terms are specified in the individual service agreements. Please refer to your service agreement or contact your account manager for details.

Refund Eligibility Criteria

Refunds may be granted under the following circumstances:

Technical Issues

  • Significant technical issues that render the service unusable
  • Service functionality substantially different from what was advertised
  • Persistent performance issues that have not been resolved after reasonable attempts by our technical support team

Billing Errors

  • Duplicate charges for the same service
  • Incorrect billing amount
  • Charges for services not received

Service Availability

  • Extended service outages (exceeding 24 consecutive hours)
  • Service discontinued during the paid period

Cancellation Within Trial Period

  • Cancellation of service during the free trial period (if applicable)

Note: "Substantial use" generally refers to uploading significant amounts of data, extensive use of premium features, or sharing files with multiple users.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will generally not be provided in the following situations:

  • After the refund eligibility period has expired
  • If the service has been substantially used
  • For subscriptions that have been active for more than one billing cycle
  • For issues resulting from user error or misuse of the service
  • Due to incompatibility with third-party software or hardware not specified as compatible in our documentation
  • For temporary service interruptions due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control
  • If the account has violated our Terms and Conditions
  • For promotional or discounted purchases specifically marked as non-refundable

For partial months of service, we do not offer prorated refunds. If you cancel a subscription mid-cycle, you will continue to have access to the service until the end of the current billing period.

Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

1. Submit a Refund Request

You can submit a refund request through one of the following methods:

  • Account Dashboard: Log in to your HellxCase account, navigate to Billing & Subscription, and select "Request a Refund"
  • Email: Send an email to billing@hellxcase.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Account Email]"
  • Contact Form: Complete the refund request form available on our Contact page

2. Provide Required Information

When submitting your refund request, please include the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • Date of purchase
  • Subscription type or service purchased
  • Order or transaction ID (if available)
  • Reason for requesting a refund
  • Any relevant details or documentation supporting your request

3. Review Process

Our customer support team will review your refund request and may contact you for additional information if needed. We aim to complete the review process within 5 business days of receiving a complete refund request.

4. Refund Decision

You will be notified of the decision regarding your refund request via email. If approved, we will process the refund according to the timeframes outlined below.

Refund Processing Timeframes

If your refund request is approved, the processing time depends on your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days after processing. However, some card issuers may take longer to reflect the refund on your statement.
  • PayPal: Refunds are usually processed within 3-5 business days.
  • Bank Transfers: Refunds via bank transfer typically take 7-10 business days to process.
  • Other Payment Methods: Processing times vary. Our billing team will provide specific timeframes when approving your refund.

Note that while HellxCase processes refunds promptly upon approval, the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account is subject to your financial institution's policies and processing times.

Refund Methods

Refunds are typically processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase:

  • Payments made by credit or debit card will be refunded to the same card
  • PayPal payments will be refunded to your PayPal account
  • Bank transfers will be refunded to the originating bank account

In certain circumstances, such as when the original payment method is no longer available or valid, we may issue refunds using an alternative method. In such cases, our billing team will contact you to arrange an appropriate refund method.

Partial Refunds and Credits

In some situations, we may offer partial refunds or account credits instead of full refunds:

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be offered when:

  • The service has been partially used during the refund eligibility period
  • Only some aspects of the service experienced issues
  • The service was used for a significant portion of the billing cycle

Account Credits

Account credits may be offered when:

  • The refund amount is small
  • You plan to continue using other HellxCase services
  • The original payment method cannot be refunded
  • As compensation for service interruptions or inconvenience

Account credits will be applied to your HellxCase account and can be used for future purchases or subscription renewals. Credits do not expire and are non-transferable.

Cancellations vs. Refunds

Subscription Cancellations

Canceling a subscription prevents future billing but does not automatically initiate a refund for previous charges. If you cancel a subscription:

  • Your service will continue until the end of the current billing cycle
  • You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
  • You will retain access to all features until the end of the current billing period

To Cancel a Subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Logging into your account and navigating to Billing & Subscription
  • Selecting "Cancel Subscription" and following the prompts
  • Alternatively, contacting our customer support team for assistance

If you wish to both cancel your subscription and request a refund for the current billing period, you must explicitly request a refund using the process outlined in the "Refund Request Process" section above.

Special Circumstances

Promotional or Free Trial Periods

If you signed up for a service with a promotional or free trial period and were charged after the trial ended:

  • You may be eligible for a refund if you cancel within 7 days of the first charge after the trial
  • You must not have substantially used the service during the paid period

Service Discontinuation

If HellxCase discontinues a service for which you have a paid subscription:

  • You will be notified in advance whenever possible
  • You will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription

Account Terminations

If your account is terminated due to violations of our Terms and Conditions:

  • You generally will not be eligible for a refund
  • Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as through email or a prominent notice on our website.
